'Light is the most important building material'

 

Brussels has got a new architectural icon: The headquarters of AXA Bank Belgium has layers of individually controllable lights, woven into the exterior surface of the building façade, to function as a dynamic palette for graphics and video animations.

 

The architectural lighting designers of Magic Monkey and architects have embraced this new ‘language’ and explored the use of light and media as façade ‘materials’ to form an integral part of an architectural vision.

 

NetherLED was commissioned by VMA NV to supply lighting equipment for this exterior application, becoming part of this great illumination concept.
